Of course we would like to look our best all the time. So does Jim. The reality is sometimes harsh though. Lack of food, a clean nappy or those nasty belly cramps can turn an otherwise blissful paradise into a temporary hell. That is when it's time to let it all out.
Showing you only the picture perfect pictures would be unreal. So here's another picture of Jim. Imagine the sound effects yourself. Imagine them loudly!
No idea how long I'm going to keep this up but for all of you that have not met Jim yet, here are some more pictures of him. He is really awake nowadays and is looking around a lot. He also gave us all some very cute smiles.
A lot more people that visit here speak English than people that speak only Dutch. So It will probably be a lot of English here from now on...
Today, Jim learned a new trick. He covered his face with the cloth he was in. Kim and I thought he would have problems breathing so we uncovered his face but after he put it back the third time, we realised he was totally fine. Just a cloth with lots of baby limbs sticking out all over the place.

Als drie dagen slaap ik het blok van 0:00 - 3:00 niet. Tijd voor een boterham en het plaatsen van wat foto's.
Nog maar een paar uur oud. "Mogen die lampen uit?"

De tweede dag was koeler in huis. Dus even ingepakt.
Vierde dag: slapen is mijn hobby.

Wat ben ik onwijs trots op Kim. Mijn wonderful warrior woman! Nadat ik het hele geboorteproces van dichtbij heb meegemaakt, heb ik nóg meer respect voor haar. Dankzij haar grenzeloze doorzettingsvermogen en moed hebben we nu een familie.
Jim is geboren in Amsterdam op 27 juni om 2:59. Toen we hem voor het eerst wogen, woog hij bijna 3,5 kilo. En dat was nadat hij al twee luiers op professionele wijze gevuld had.
Kim en Jim rusten vaak en veel. Bel, mail of app daarom graag ruim van tevoren als je langs wilt komen. Als je iets wilt meenemen, graag geen babykleren, speelgoed of bloemen. Ook willen we je vragen geen parfum, after-shave of andere luchtjes te dragen. Bedankt voor je medewerking en begrip.
Kim mag eindelijk weer sushi en steak tartaar! Misschien is het leuk als je dat voor haar meeneemt. Maar overleg het even als je contact opneemt met ons.
